Well, if you can't remember, I have a little nightmare to share, anyway:
Wake Up for Your ShiftFinal wave, of the final shift. The sun had left, its place only taken by the gibbous moon. The tide was at mid-level, and the air was heavy & damp. The countdown seemed slow, as did the pace of the coworkers.
"I still see spots un-inked, guys! Stop slacking!"
Egged on, they spent the countdown inking the stage, little by little. A sense of anxiety hung over them, and they didn't spread out to cover further than their weapons could shoot from their little cluster together. This irked him, but then the countdown ended, and he listened for instructions from the bear carving.
But there was only static, that came from the speaker.
"Sir?" the somewhat self-appointed leader asked.
Only more static.
"Mr. Grizz?"
The noise that crackled out, almost sounded like words, though horribly garbled. Then the transmission ended, and they were left without instructions.
"What was it?" one asked.
"I didn't get anything," another remarked.
"Does this mean we don't have to do anything?"
"No, it does n
