Alex felt lost at Charlie's speech. Why would Tom disappear all of a sodden? Why was Edd being an ass about the situation? Alex knew Kristen had to go. He pivoted on himself took her wrist and pulled her to the door opening the door with his free hand he pushed her outside and closed the door. He knew their relationship had reached and end because of him but he didn't care.
"Charlie I'm going to Edd's flat! You're fixing things with him and then we'll find ... him. Do you understand? You have to stay here!" Alex knew he needed to specify every little thing to Charlie because he was in a state of chock. The last thing he needed was a loose Charlie on top of a missing Tom and a mad Edd.
Alex closed the front door behind him and locked it. The walk to Tom and Edd's flat was a good time to think of what he was going to say to Edd and how he should react to Edd. They were friends and Alex wanted to do everything to help him. He was happy Edd had texted him. He knew Edd was in a mad phase but he would slowly grow into a depressible phase of the reaction and Alex needed to arrive before it he was too far gone. The brunette remembered when his friend had gone into his phase and hadn't got out for a couple of months. He never wanted to see Edd like that again.
When Alex got to the familiar door he noticed it was opened. Alex rushed in scared his friend had deseapered. But as soon as he got close to Edd's room he heard him. He was crying. Alex opened the door and saw the musician in a ball on the bed.
"Sweety what happened?"
"Don't want ... to talk ..."
Alex sat down beside the crying man. Edd managed up and cuddled to Alex. The brunette rubbed his back in a comforting way.
"Edd you have to talk to Charlie and Tom! I don't know what happened but Tom's your best mate! You know he loves you ..."
"Alex he doesn't care anymore ... it's always about Charlie! He's never around and when he is he can only babble about what he did with Charlie and how great he is! Tom doesn't care ..."
Alex knew how he felt. It had changed all their lives when they had starting hanging out more often. Charlie had also been disappearing a lot, leaving without telling him. Even though Charlie had taken a lot of room in Tom's life Alex knew he would never stop loving Edd.
"Love ... You should come over and speak to Charlie. I know it's been hard on you seeing him with Charlie but trust me you're his best friend he's never going to let you go. We need to find Tom and you need to help. If it's not for you or Charlie than do it for me."
Alex grabbed hold of Edd's hand and lifted him up on his feet.
Edd gripped to Alex's hand like it was a life or death situation. If he let go he would never see the sun again. He concentrated on holding the hand. He let Alex led them through streets and alleyways to his flat. He was grateful to Alex who never let him go in any situation. But as soon as they got close enough to the building that was they're destination Edd freaked. He let go of Alex's warm hand and screamed.
"Alex I can't go!"
"Edd ..." the man reached up to hold Edd's face but he slapped the hand away. Alex looked hurt but Edd had lost it.
"Don't! Let me go! Let me live my life alone! Tom is out of my life! If he never comes I won't care!"
"Mate you don't understand do you?! I'm never going to give up! You're never going back to where you were before! I'm not going to let you! Edd he cares and I do too! Edd I love you more than anything ... don't leave me again ..."
