"Can I say something Charlie?" Alex asked after arriving in a panic at home to find Dan and Charlie drunk and kissing. Charlie has look at him with a goofy smile and laughed.
"Yeah sure… What do you want to say?"
"I'm sorry I cheated on you… I know it was wrong but I just couldn't help it… I just I didn't think I was ready for the real thing."
"Alex, can we talk about this later? We had a friend over it would be mean to make him uncomfortable!" he asked seeming a bit less intoxicated than he was. He let go of Dan and sat himself properly on the couch.
"No I need to say this now! And I need to show you something as well…"
Alex walked over to Charlie and held out a box… a beautiful Tardis blue velvet box. Charlie smiled at knowing what it would contain but grinned even more when his cheating boyfriend opened it. A little wrist band lay in it. It looked old and well used.
"Alex did you really keep it all this years…?"
"Yup! I wear it everyday… Charlie I look at it when I'm scared and unsure… when I cry I rub it and hold it tight thinking of you… Charlie I know it's hard to believe but I really do love you and now I know I'm ready I can't take away what I did completely but I can try all my life to make it disappear… I added something on it today… and I have one for you as well… If you want it, that is." Alex's face was red as he waited for Charlie to answer."
Charlie felt his eyes water and a tear falling down his face. A ring had been added to the bracelet and on it markings asked sweetly: "Will you marry me?". It was such a beautiful gift and he knew how much it meant to Alex. It would go against everything he was. The blue eyed boy knew his boyfriend would never again cheat him.
"I would love to have added it mine as well…I love you so much Alex…" Charlie stood up and kissed Alex. He opened neither would ever let go but they had to sometime.
"Charlie I will love you till the day the earth stops turning and till the last breathing thing dies… Even then I think I might continue just because I'll never stop…"
