US wasnยดt supposed to be in Iraq anyway. It was an illegal occupation based on lies.ย

EmptyPromiseFanFic In reply to poderiu [2017-02-13 11:18:36 +0000 UTC]

The US didn't go out of it;s way to kill innocent people, innocent people stilled died, like the crew of a red cross marked helicopter shot down near Fallujah in early 2004, the US made a point of waiting two weeks before Phantom Fury II (The Second Battle of Fallujah) before being in, in this time, civilians (And insurgents) were free to leave, if you didn't, then you were assumed to be aiding the insurgents, if these are after effects on the area, then thank the asshole who turned your yard into an MG nest well you were gone for the effects a Sabot round had on it.
The US made mistakes in Iraq (Being there for one) but i rarely hear anyone point their fingers at the blood thirsty insurgents, who killed more innocent people then the US did, and many of them deliberatly.

US didnยดt make any "mistake" in "being there". The Bush /Cheney administration lied about Saddam Hussein, about his participation in 9/11 as well lied about Saddam having weappons of mass destruction. They gave false reasons to legitimize a ilegal war.
It was a ILEGAL war that resulted in more then half a million civilians killed as well a destruction of a whole country.
And yes, US conducted hundereds of terrorist acts as well war crimes in IRaq. But, nothing new. US has supported terrorism and conducted state terrorism before.ย  Iraq is just another case.

As an American I feel guilty living in a country that has brought more destruction to the world than any other. We go living our day-to-day lives showing no empathy or compassion for those that suffered unnecessarily because America loves wars. I'm sorry Fallujah. We, the American people, need to do something, otherwise there'll a lot of bad karma coming our way and future generations will suffer.

I think you are confused ot I didnยดt explain my sel correctely. The child deserves do be loved, of course. What is revolting is that USA is responsable for this mass atrocity in Fallujah by the using of Depleted Uranium.

Mainly they want natural resources in the Middle East (natural gas, oil) They also want to establish geo-political control, to inject an economic strucure that serves US corporations.
