Jess Desserts is the main baker and owner of The Pie Factory, a bakery located in sunny Sandalwood. She's a tall, attractive woman with a compassionate personality. She loves nothing more than serving up pies, except for maybe getting her own "pies" pampered ("pies" is Spanish for "feet"). She's often seen in flats, though she frequently slips them on and off, giving her customers peeks at her long, soft soles. When she's not baking, Jess enjoys getting her feet massaged (despite being incredibly ticklish), going for jogs, and hanging out with her close friends. She's also a whiz at math, sometimes even dressing up as a teacher on Pi Day.

Jess is known for her secret menu item, Spanish Pie . When a customer takes a good long look at Jess's feet, she invites them to a special room in The Pie Factory where they can order this dish. Spanish Pie is what you get when you drizzle pie fillings and toppings of your choice onto the feet of a Pie Factory employee. Since this is an eatery, Jess also requires employees to get their feet scrubbed clean after each Spanish Pie order, which is just as tickly as it sounds. Jess tries to make a game out of it, seeing how far she can go without laughing.

Jess values a lot of things, including her bakery, customers, and mostly her staff. She's good friends with her employees Barry Boysen , Jack O'Carver , Candi Kane , and especially Keya Graham , her best friend. If any of these things are threatened, she will go into "mama bear" mode, trying hard to defend what she loves most, like the time she thought the S.S. Soft Serve ice cream parlor stole the Spanish Pie secret for their Sundae Shoe dish. She does mean well, though, and does make more friends than foes, even becoming friends with the Soft Serve staff. She's even collaborated with the Soft Serve owner, Nella Khone .
