Hooray! It's May! With spring now in full swing, we're ready to hop into another big month. What's happening in May 2023? Let's find out right now!

First off, let's begin with the highly-anticipated launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which is in just a few days. This new game has been on my mind a lot, and I think one of the best ways to celebrate it is by drawing a new picture based on the Zelda series. Let's just say that I'm going to take some inspiration from the Hot-Footed Frog that's native to Hyrule. I hope to have this picture ready in time for the game's May 12 release, so expect it around then.

Another big theme this month is literature, well, at least for my gallery. Recently, I've been partnering up with some friends to bring characters and worlds of mine to life through the written word. One friend is , who has written the story "Nina Dominates Duncan." This story has been out for a month and is a solid read. And since I've gotten his permission to do so, I'm going to upload the story to my gallery, too! Not only that, but this version of the story will contain a brand-new cover drawn by me! You can expect to see this story in my gallery shortly after this Frogress Report is uploaded.

Another friend, , has written a story based around Sandalwood. Well, sort of. Technically, it takes place in a nightmare world, one that may seem familiar to those who have played the Kirby's Dream Buffet game. Based on my Mighty Pink Puff picture , "Gary and Barry's Nightmare Buffet" will feature Gary Straw and Barry Boysen running around giant pastries and trying to dodge giant hungry Kirbys. The story has been edited, with the cover coming up next. I think it'll be out after the Zelda picture, so expect to see it around the middle of May.

Finally is an IOU that was a long time coming. An anonymous friend of mine wrote a story a few years ago about a location in Sandalwood that he made up himself; The Pizza Foundry. He even came up with a few new OCs for this story. I'm pleased to report that after years of cooking, the story and characters he created are ready to come out of the oven. "The Pizza Foundry: The Story of Shawn Parm and Peppi Rain" will be a story about the kind of pizzeria two foot-loving college students operate together. I just need to get some final touches ready, then this story will be hot and ready to deliver here later this month.

That's all for the confirmed plans, so let's hop to the Ponder Pond for some speculative topics. May 14 is Mother's Day, a holiday I normally produce art for. If I'm able to whip something up in time after the Zelda picture, I'd love to do another motherly picture for that weekend. I'm not entirely sure what it'll be yet, but I'm thinking it'll be something with a warm and fuzzy feel.

I'm also very excited to report that at the time of this writing, I have 2,926 watchers on DA! I'm very close to the big 3K! This means a lot to me, so I need to think of a way to celebrate and thank you all for sticking with me! Unfortunately, I don't know what to do just yet. Hopefully, I have time to plan something out since I've been so laser-focused on my May plans. Stay tuned!
