I was about 3 feet from it. Luckily, you can't see that there is a glass between me and the snake. Otherwise, I would not be standing so close!

Through the glass? Wow! That just made it even better...I can't believe the glass was that clear. Usually my pictures through glass get blurred because of all the film on them, between the fingerprints on the outside & the...animalness on the inside

Thats some nice framing and close-up there; you can really see the details of the scales and the eye. The way you brought attention and focus to the head is what really makes this. Love that vivid green.
