I just felt like compiling the different "styles" of eyes that I tend to use. ;v;I think it's silly to limit yourself to just one way of drawing, and I find it annoying when people get all bent out of shape if you show slight inconsistencies.
Shapes and colourations vary because I'm always trying to figure out how I like things, and I'm kind of fussy. I also get bored of doing things the same way after a while. >:

I agree with you that drawing just one eye style is boring after a while. Besides, different eye shape works well in foreshadowing character's personality.
But some people out of there think is such a big deal to draw a different eye style once a blue moon. I've even seen people being accused of ripping off because of drawing popular eye shape. Sounds ridiculous.
