Description
Two days ago (February 11 2021) was the 116th birthday of one of the most notable paleoartists of the 20th Century, and one of my greatest inspirations in paleoart, the Czech master painter, Zdeněk Burian. As a late birthday present, I decided to draw my own version of one of my favorite Burian paintings; The original painting depicted a pair of portly, tail-dragging T.rex feasting on the carcass of one very prickly Triceratops. Here I drew the dinosaurs in a way more accurate to today’s scientific understanding, while preserving the colors and spirit of the originals.
