16 years ago, on this very day, I embarked on a creative journey like no other.

Today, I have an important announcement regarding the direction this journey, and myself as an artist, will be taking in the future.

Over the past year, following the 15th anniversary, I had to deal with a personal crisis. For months afterwards I spiraled ever deeper into depression- probably the worst I had experienced in my entire life. It robbed me of every bit of faith I had in myself, in my abilities as an illustrator and as a writer, and in the merits of my vision. Looking back at my past works, all I could see were the flaws.

Eventually, I found my way out of that pit, but to do that I had to make a difficult choice.

On one hand, I had the general outline of the story planned ahead for years, and was eager to tell the next chapters in the ongoing adventures of Poharex. There were new story elements I wanted to introduce and even had a small tie-in game in the making, to flesh them out even more. It would've been my best work yet.

On the other hand, I could no longer ignore that nagging feeling of dissatisfaction with the quality of my previous works. I don't think they were ever bad, by any means, but at the same time they don't reflect who I am today. They reflect who I once was.

When I started, back in 2007, I was just a kid in high school, with big dreams but little experience. Along the way I made many mistakes, as well as decisions I would later come to regret. I couldn't shake away the thought that, had I started the series today, with my current level of experience, it could have been so much better.

So that's what I'm doing. I'm ending the series prematurely -cliffhanger and all- and starting over.

Honestly? It was the best decision I made in my entire career. I have so many new and fresh ideas!

This reboot will not follow the same story as the 2007 series. It's still going to focus on the character of Poharex as its central protagonist, but many other things will be different, from character designs and personalities to the plot itself. The worldbuilding will be different too; I'm redesigning the universe from the ground up, this time using my previously published comic, Surculus Mundorum , as its foundation and as an introduction to the story.

Over the past few months I've been hard at work bringing this reboot to life, and the first chapter is about halfway complete. Hopefully I can finish and publish it by the end of the year, though I'd rather not set myself a hard deadline. It's done when it's done.

To my readers: I apologize that you won't get to see how the story arc of Poharex Issue #13 ends, though at the same time I hope that you'll stick around for the reboot. It will definitely be worth the wait, though some of the changes I've planned might ruffle a few feathers.
