MoP doesn't always check on the Pearl before she sends it off, but she had a very strong feeling to this certain tricolored sweetie and broke her own rules. She got severely attached.

MoP has the ability to see what a gem is meant to be, even when they're not formed, and the second she saw Nacre, her curiosity got the better of her and she let her form in her presence, which set MoP to her owner.
She couldn't bear to reset her, and so she kept her and gave up a lesser Pearl to the Winza Sapphire that Nacre was meant for.
