Description
I have an unnatural love for cemetaries and this is one of my favorites. It has some of the coolest looking plots.Edit: I shrunk down the full view so you wouldn't be blasted with a pixelated view.
Edit (again): I scrapped this. Why? Even though it IS one of my favorite photos, it's kind of blurry, and I feel that I have improved in my photography a bit since I've taken this picture. Also, this spring/summer, I'm going back to the same cemetery to take more pictures, with a better camera, so maybe this year will produce better quality pictures

I love the way how the moss is growing on the stars. I kinda have a thing for cemetaries too! I just love the look of them and how the tombstones are. Very nice pic!

This is indeed very beautiful! Graveyards and simmilar are very good places to photograph. It doesn't seem those stairs are used too often, since there is so much green on them - that is what fascinates me the most.
By the way, have you thought of framing it in? It is only a personal suggestion, and a preferance. A black frame for instance, would add alot in my opinion.

Thank you! I love taking photographs of cemetaries. They have such beautiful artwork, natural and manmade. That cemetary isn't frequesnted often, because people pay more attention to the baseball hall of fame than the wonderful landscapes of the area. Oh, and the moss may look beautiful, but it's slippery than hell. I almost fell slipping on that damn moss. It's even in the road.
I haven't quite figured out how to frame my photos yet. It's probably something really simple that I looked over, but I haven't found any "frame" tool in my paintshop. Ugh. I'm technologically naive.

If you have got Paintshop, the only thing you have to do is select "Image" on the menu above, then "Borders" or "Add Borders". Then type in how thick you want them to be(I usually type in 40 cm). It is simple as that
I am putting you on watch in case you take more pictures of that awesome cemetary

Ooo, thanks so much. I just added borders to half my photos. I have to do the rest sometime soon. I don't know when I'll be taking more pictures of that cemetary, seeing that gas has gone up in price and it's getting cold out. Although, I think it would be cool to have leaveless trees in those shots. Hehe.

No problem
Yeah, leafless trees and a graveyard/cemetary is quite a good combination. DEATH! hehe

I love the way some of the trees here look without leaves because their bark is almost black. And you know what's going to look even better? Cemetary in the snow. But that won't be possible because the cemetaries shut down in the winter Maybe I can find a loophole somewhere...

Why would they shut it down? You can just climb over the fence

They shut the cemetaries down over the winter because of the amount of snow and ice we usually get in these parts. I don't climb over fences, it's too dangerous for me, seeing how big of a clutz I am. Lol. I'll figure something out...hehe.

Well, good luck with whatever method you choose And in the meanwhile I will sit here at home, warm and cozy, and await deadly snowy pictures of a cemetary

Unnatural?..... Many people are fascinated by them...... including myself.... besides what is truly unnatural these days anyway.... I mean really........ Anyway, beautiful pic.

You're welcome.... I understand many people would feel loving cemetaries is quite a morbid or "psychotic" thing...... but many people suck..... there fore stating the obvious is like submitting to their ignorance. But I understand fully.

Well, some people would view loving cemetaries as being morbid. I don't think so, but oh well. My mom actually got me into cemetaries at a young age. Like, going to Civil War cemetaries and old church cemetaries and doing gravestone rubbings. Anyway...thank you!

Lovely shot, I love all the green. Maybe resize the full view though. The picture looks quite pixely from here.

Ahh! I thought I had fixed that! I must've resubmitted the same picture instead of the smaller picture. Ugh, I'll have to fix that then. Yeah, I love all the moss in that cemetary, but it makes for horrible walking conditions.

I love this picture!
Where was it taken?
It reminds me of the cemetary I've been to up in Sitka, Alaska... Very mossy, green and eerie. In Skagway, Alaska, we took another picture of a cemetary, and the air was so still. There was no fog at the time. We developed the picture when we got back, and there was a white mist. Very interesting.

Ooo, I love those pleasant little surprises. I uploaded some pictures from my friend's house the other night and there's orbs all over the place in half of the pictures. I took this picture in Cooperstown, New York. There's a few really cool cemetaries in that area, but they get overlooked by all that damn baseball crap.

nice shot, lots of mystery in it. The close bottom part of the stairs seems a bit blurry to me? Other then that, tops

Yeah, it is a little blurry. I actually didn't notice that until after I put the picture up, but I like it so much that I kept it up. Maybe I'll go back and take a better picture. But thanks anyways!

Probably not. The plots in that area are from the 1800s, so I highly doubt that many people go up there anymore.

The town that I took that in was founded in the 1700's. Have you ever heard of Jame Fenimore Cooper? He wrote Last of the Mohicans I think, and a bunch of other stories. Well, he founded the village.
