Description This is my first orcmask. I wanted to test if I´m able to make one and how it would look like. And as I heard a friend say, I´d like to have an orccostume I decided to make this as a first Latex-mask-project.
4 month modelling, painting and testing and this is what came out. A green orc with a lot of little and bigger scars and wounds with long brown hair and parts of white where the scars touch the hairline.

Overall, this is a great piece, especially considering it is your first work. You did a great job with the scarring, and the applications of skintone, wrinkles etcetera. as for 'Originality' an orc is an orc, however, you made this 'your orc' rather than just a 'token orc' as is often done. This creats the 'Damn, thats an orc!' reaction, as well as connotating the time and effort put into it.

Your method with the hair is not the 'professional' method to my knowledge (that being hours and hours of punching hairs) however, I have always been one to say that practicality and propriety are not always equal, and your method works great. In general, this piece looks professional, and you can tell that there is a lot of work put into it.

A thought for consideration: you could also put a mouth piece in, that fits over the actual chin, with tusks, teeth etc. and hide the seam line with the facial hair. Just a thought.

You are right that punching the hairs would look a bit more realistical, but it´s true that the method of careful glueing is a bit faster. And I´m lazy.

Chewie, the friend who will wear the mask, will buy some orcish teeth and he has a big beard, in fitting colour to the hair of the mask. So with some makeup the free chin will be okay and the mask comfortable to wear.

Thank you very much for the critique!

Verruh Verruh nice! I've previously made a couple sets of tusks (with bottom lips and chin) that you strap to your jaw around the back of your head--but I've always wanted to go all out on something like this.

Kann mir Chewie kaum in dem Ding vorstellen aber Hut ab vor der Leistung. Die sieht ja super aus! Hast du eine normale Maske als Grundform genommen? oO

Thank you. But I didn´t I glued it on with black coloured latex. But at the hairline I was quite carful just to take few. Afterward I brushed these parts with green too.

Bird. Chicken. 2010/2011 New Years meal.
This year my sister made a turkey for christmas and I recieved some quite nice bigger bones, but I spare them for the cloth of Jörns Wolf.
