OKAY SO AS U ALREADY PROBABLY KNOW ANATOMY IS SOMETHING YOU CAN ONLY GET BETTER WITH TIME, OBSERVATION, AND DRAWING AS MANY MUSCULAR MEN AS POSSIBLE SO ITS REALLY GOOD THAT YOU HAVE BARAROS JUST SAYING (im jk but at the same time im not jk)
SECOND IN TERMS OF PERSPECTIVE its good to understand that as the camera angles change, so do the proportions of the body. what's happening here is that while you're attempting top down perspective, the proportions of the body, as well as HOW they are seen aren't changing very much, which is evidenced in the comparison below
ex: gyazo.com/2f0abe9fe42e1917f9be… while i do this I JUST WANNA SAY its actually really hard to do top down perspective, i cant even do it right most of the time, because we're so unfamiliar with that angle that our tendency is to just float back to whatever proportions we see as "normal" and when we're first learning, "normal" proportions are usually only seen from front view. PUFFS UP IM SUPER GLAD OF U FOR TRYING BECAUSE ITS HARD BUT KNOW WE ARE STRUGGLING TOGETHER AS I also have the problem weeps, and if things look really wonky in the beginning JUST KEEP WORKING AT IT

okay so what i did here was take a basic figure and then i transformed it and then changed the angle of the lines to better reflect the angle
when you look at something from the top, you're more likely to see the top of the subject, in this case, whatever the figure is. so for here, you'd see more of the top of ezra's head, as well as the top of his shoulders. the his chest would foreshorten a bit, as well as the rest of his body, depending on how extreme you want the foreshortening to be. the angles on the face would change too, so you would see more of the top of the nose, the mouth would me more upper lipped, and and the eyes would begin to "flatten" a bit, and the actual sharpness of the chin and the face itself would increase.
ex: tomiokajiro.deviantart.com/art… here, you can see top down perspective on all of the kids, and while it doesn't necessarlly follow all of the cues from above because of stylistic choices, it still follows the idea of volumes extending back into space, and things farther away getting smaller.
