Description
I've been in an artist block and this is the only drawing I've done in the past week or so that I don't absolutely hate
Anyways...

Ushindi hid herself in the back of the pride den, clutching at her sides and trembling as she silently sobbed
Distracted by her internal termoil she was deaf to the sound of footsteps coming up behind her
"Shindi?"
Startled she jumped slightly, jerking her paws back leaving a trail of bloody claw marks over her arm, pinning her ears back she looked forward trying to hide her face
"Bendah.." she spoke in a hushed, raspy tone
"Are you ok? Why are you crying?"

Bendah hadn't been with the pride very long, the son of an allied pride hunteress visiting the pridelands, but Ushindi and him had quickly became good friends

Ushindi tried to hold her composure but quickly broke down in the comfort of her only friend's presence
She talked with him wholeheartedly through the night telling him that all she wanted was for her father and mother to accept her and love her, her heart broke every day being ignored by the pride and hated by her family, and degraded and broke down, she had held on for so long but now..she felt hollow and cold

Her friend had stayed quiet and let her finished before he proudly claimed that he wouldn't let her be lonely anymore, he'd be there for her forever, and that her parents were idiotic for not seeing her potential, how wonderful she was, and he'd help her get them to see

"Promise?" She whispered
"Promise" he said, and he nuzzled her side, the two friends huddled close, and eventually fell asleep, they both had smiles on their faces as they slept

Unbeknownst to them in the cave entrance a figure lingered and watched the cubs, a grimmace adorned his face before twisting into a snarly, sharp tooth grin

Unfortunately Bendah never was able to keep his promise, the next day he went missing, and Ushindi never saw him again
.........

This took roughly 30 minutes on my phone
Ushindi and Bendah's designs belong to me

Obviously the lion in the background is scar who belongs to Disney
