Description
22/02/2013 - A strong edit to the descriptionHime the Pikachu's Sheet Design
Her eyes are inclined near the original Pikachu designs. What makes her different is her tail. Which is somewhat similar, but different. Also, her ears had different pattern coloration. But it is almost similar as another Pikachu.
Personality
She can get along with anyone just as easily and can even brighten the somber mood that surrounds her because she is easily optimistic. In addition, she can change the atmosphere with her songs. As she sang very beautifully and gracefully that most pokemons are soothed by it (of course, not fallen asleep by it). However, should a pokemon insult her, she'll fall into a deep side of her that contrasts her optimism and fall into a dark side of her that actually strengthens her Discharge ability (which is dangerous because this could kill). The only one who can stop it is basically either Zoroark, Cranidos or Gengar. Otherwise, she is incredibly friendly and is willing to get close to everyone..even the bad guys.
Hime likes to wear a flower near her. Anything goes.

History
- Hime was born in an unknown region somewhere farther than Tao. Her father had already died by the time she was born and the reason was and still is not revealed to her. Because of her royal heritage of possessing “the strongest thunder energy reserves”, she was being isolated in order to prevent catastrophic disasters from occurring in their kingdom. When she was 5, her mother left as well, with reasons also unexplained. She becomes perfectly distant towards the residents of the Electric Kingdom as a result, being very cold and distant in the process. However, she herself kept her composure and is capable of doing her mother’s innate ability to craft accessories and design clothes, claiming her title as the Fashion Genius in the entire kingdom.
- After 8 years of periodic isolation, she met one of the generals of the Elec Castle, Gorok the Banette. She simply ignored him initially. But after he showed him what it means to be free, she finally started opening up and becoming even more enthusiastic than she was before by showing her that the apple doesn’t always fall from the tree. But with a little pressure, anything can happen. This resolve is what makes her evolve into a Pikachu. However, this doesn’t last. Gorok had been killed by his superiors because he tried to defy the law of trying to release her from isolation and she saw it all with her own eyes. This makes her fed up with the kingdom and left to go to Tao region on her own accord after a number of unfortunate events. However, her inability to battle has left her vulnerable for wild pokemon to attack her and harm her. This is when Cranidos arrives and saves her from danger, effectively fallen in love with her at first sight. She seems to notice his feelings as well and eventually, this becomes a loving relationship.
- After 5 years of adventuring, Cranidos and Hime ended up forgetting about their past and is now focused on adventuring around Tao. They visited some places like the Junkyard and Sand Village. During that time, she decimates an entire area of the northern Tao, which is caused by Hime being angered by a Grammo the Seismitoad and Pam the Infernape, with her unusually strong Discharge attack; only to be stopped by Cranidos, who says anger isn’t the answer to everything. She calmed down at this point, trying to keep herself positive to prevent the same thing from happening again.
- They were about to go to Tao to sign for the Merchants’ Guild. However, sometime before M6 starts, they had to avoid Tao due to Sorbet. And during that time, Hime and Cranidos got separated and she was eventually found by Christopher. He kidnapped her and took her hostage, claiming her as the “Queen of Destruction” along with the unnamed Zoroark. However, she is shortly released by Christopher and passed her over to Marshy, now reincarnated into a Gengar, in order to provoke Cranidos’ anger further.
Mission 6 Timeline
- She later runs with Gengar to Alomomola Bay, who told her everything about the future and his role here in the past, to find the Chosen One and set him on the right track, which is revealed to be Cranidos, her lover. After he tried to leave her to find out more about Tao, she persistently asked him to train her, hoping that she can be stronger than before and can hold her own in a situation. He accepts on the condition that she tells him all about Cranidos, trying to verify the fact that the Cranidos is the Chosen One’s previous form. Gengar taught her how to control her discharge ability. Also, she learns Thunder Bolt, Agility and Volt Tackle in the process at a quick pace, which surprised Gengar. During this time, Cranidos is doing Mission 6. During this time, she, non-canonically, gives him the Sapphire Flower Gem, hoping he will make better use of this than she can.
Event 6 Timeline
- He immediately leaves her after knowing and verifying that her boyfriend is actually the final Chosen One from her, hoping she wouldn’t get involved. But she foolishly followed her, claiming that she cares and wants to help in any way. This later turns to a somewhat awkward, love situation that makes Cranidos extremely jealous that forced him to thunderbolt at the entire forest in horror and anger. But was stopped by Hime, who bravely said that he should not give in to anger in the first place and he was the one who taught her that. This calmed Cranidos down. But before Gengar told Cranidos everything about himself and his role in the future, Gengar is transported 200 years back in the past along with Christopher.
Mission 7 Timeline
- Hime and Zoroark reunited once more, with Cranidos trying to avenge himself by hurting him. Hime stopped him again and they went to Tao because Cranidos has to undergo a mission. Hime saw all the sad pokemon in the village and decided to help out. Hime snacked at Spinda’s Café with Zoroark after she persistently helps with the Archbishop Gabriel in giving presents to lost ones, even though she isn’t a rescuer. Spending most of his money on apples, she told her all her deeds of helping people. Where she witness Zoroark acting unusual to her response. They both stayed in the near vicinity of Tao onwards in Cranidos’ own built underground house.
Event 7 Timeline
- Hime and Zoroark witness the crowded Tao residents trying to get the letters from their partners in the past. Hime clumsily took the letters being oblivious to the contents. Eventually, she was kidnapped again by Arch the Machop and Tina the Buizel, where she is being held hostage again in order to find some information about the Jeweled Flower, but she revealed that she already gave that Jeweled Flower to Gengar, which upsets both Tina and Arch. She later is rescued by Cranidos and Zoroark finally revealed that he had the letters all along and she read what Gengar wrote to her.
Post Mission 8 – Timeline – January Tasks
- Hime helped out at Gnasher’s place with Cranidos helping out making accessories. Cranidos has no idea how to make one until she taught him how to make clothes. Her quick and prodigious fashion sense even impresses Gnasher to the point that she is hired for a part-time position. She accepted the offer for the job. During this time, she notices Zoroark leaving to meet with her kidnappers and runs off to her to tell him to be careful. Then she resumed to work in Gnasher’s until Mission 8. She will not be available during February Tasks.
Abilities
Trivia
- Her name comes from the Japanese word, Princess. While Hina itself means Doll in old Japanese, Mari comes from the flower Marigold, which happens to symbolize how she is, a beautiful marigold doll.
- Her personality comes from her father, who is stubborn yet very convincing when it comes to persuading pokemon. Her physical traits would come from her mother and her ability to knit, sew and thread clothes and accessories is one of the traits she got from her mother.
- Hime is my first PMD-E character with a nickname for herself (as most of the others called them by their species name).
Advantages
- Prodigious Fashion Sense – When it comes to fashion ideas, she can be the best at making some. As she learned from her mother every single technique of knitting and sewing perfectly while she was a pichu. When she went with Cranidos, she hardly sews as they are travelling around. However, she still retains the knowledge and her skills that she hardly will ever forget her magic touch for a long, long time.
- Rebuttal Expert – She is best when it comes to convincing pokemon. She herself is capable of convincing the smarter pokemon like Gengar and Zoroark, who are hardly capable of being convinced by most of the Chosen Ones. Her skill at convincing others is what makes her truly happy, on the inside.
- Abnormal Optimism – She can be extremely positive that she tends to think things the wrong way. But her optimism is the thing that makes her easily befriended.
Disadvantages
- Uncontrollable Powers – Her power reserves of electricity is much stronger than most other Pikachu, based on her family’s clan trait heritage. This makes her powers much stronger in a sense. But because she lacks experience, this makes her powers slightly uncontrollable that it could easily decimate a large area in a single electric discharge. Gengar managed to train herself to suppress the powers she had in order to prevent damage, but sometimes this is used again during emotional tension or when she is being too negative with herself.
- Extreme Obliviousness – Her common sense, because she was almost always isolated, is somewhat unreasonable. She tends to be somewhat confused when she looks at the seriousness or the political views of the situation, like most pokemon and even people. But her response to the confusion itself is too unusual even for a sane pokemon that she tends to think only the positive side of things and hardly looking at the big picture. Seen when she assumes Gengar and Christopher is also in the past and she rushed immediately to get the letter, only to get a wrong one.
