Even though I liked the film, I didn't appreciate how Marvin the Martian was treated throughout. Marvin is advertised as a player, yet all he seems to do is get his ship taken away and then get flattened twice (also with K-9 as he appeared once).That's when I remembered a WB movie that fitted well with Marvin's overall character: Mars Attack, which inspired me to portray Marvin as the Ambassador of Mars. The Martian's head color is a mixture of pink, yellow, green, purple, and orange, making it challenging to draw. Because of this, I mostly colored his head pink, with a light green forehead. The large eyes are reminiscent of his early and Looney Tunes Cartoons designs, as well as the large exposed eyes of a Martian.
He plays a similar role to Commander X-2 from Duck Dodgers in the role I created for him as the Martian Leader's second in command. I reduced the size of the cloak he also wears in order to partly reveal his shoes, using Megamind's outfit and the Black Mamba as my main references.
