Gajeel and Levy late for classes for the 2nd time! It was so funny i was dying on the floor because of all the laugh i got from it.
I got the idea while reading a fanfiction - Someone you never forget by piranha pk [link] . Give it a go if you haven't already!
This is really nice fanfiction, very easy to read (easy going) and very funny - i often couldnt help but laugh for hours because of all those little situational jokes xD And then I got this idea. It was almost 2-3 months ago - but i didn't have any time. Now I have a lot of time
(while reading this i was having TONS OF IDEAS for drawings, maybe it's because of very little descriptions )NOTE: with this drawing i officialy made fall in love with Levy

sure, gajeel and levy are my otp, i drawn a lot of pics with them. but the fandom stuff and what people do make me feel a bit fed up with it all...

if you go to my profile page, in the box about me (the one on the very top on the right), i have listed artists that inspire me the most in general, feel free to take a loot at what they do
well, fandom is all the fans of certain subject, and i know that other fandoms are similiar, but with fairy tail, i see so many otp themed pictures, so so many, so many of them showing characters completely 'out of character' and innacurately, or throwing some headcannons about characters (facts that didnt really take place, but fans made them up and they are so good that they are considered as they actually happened) and in general im just so fed up. especially with giving giant asses and boobs to most of the females >.> but then , i have mixed feelings about it all, too. there is also part with showing otp's in more intimate, or sexual situations, which are sometimes even more out of character, or as being parents, and these topics are the ones that I dislike the most. I prefer to show sometihng more than just two characters kissing.. But on the other hand, when the kiss is drawn in a way that it shows more than just the kiss, then its nice, too
in short, seeing so many fanarts of otp's makes me being fed up with all of it. but sometimes i see slight otp glimpses in the manga, and its what lights up that 'fire' inside me

I went ahead and checked out some of the artists that you mentioned and I agree, they are quite talented. It's definitely a worth aspiration. However, I have trouble really appreciating the sentiment behind their art since the majority of them draw characters that I am unfamiliar with. It doesn't make them any less spectacular, of course, but I am just a little more Fairy Tail-oriented in terms of the art that I like. It's really more to do with the fact that I'm more familiar with their personas and so art like this one really speaks to me, y'know?
Dunno about the headcanons yet, since I am still fairly new/easily influenced. Guess I just have to go with the flow for now, but I can see how that can get annoying. Hopefully, I don't become one of those people...
Hmm...I feel as if the big boob/ass thing may be slightly justified with the way that the women are portrayed in both the manga and the anime, but I get what you mean by being fed up with it. It's hard to find a nice, decent drawing of FT women without it being overly-sexualized and the proportions majorly exaggerated. As for the sexy times...I blame Hiroshima. XD Or *ahem* Trollshima. The guy is just a major troll!! Dx (Like, just kiss already!) *Whines pitifully at the ambiguity* It can get prettyyy frustrating, to say the least. Can't really blame fans for taking it out in that way... XD But yeah, those little glimpses in the manga are definitely worth it! Like with that underwater "kiss", for instance. Mind=blown. Without a doubt, my favorite GaLe moment.
I am a little lost on the out-of-character art though... Is it the sexual scenarios or the romanticized ones? Not really sure what is game and what isn't. (I've been tainted! Dx)

ah, what you said made me go thinking a bit. Most of the time, no matter if the art is good, the fanart will always get more views, and thats because we tend to like the picture more if we are familiar with the characters, but thankfully, there are still people who just enjoy art not only fanart. I like fanart more most the times too, but I still do like good art, no matter the topic, so I don't really have to be familiar with characters portrayed.
On the other hand, you don't really have to be familiar with the characters much - if the picture is drawn in a way that you get to know these characters well, if they are portrayed accurately that can show you how they are and what they are, then you get familiar with them already, evven when seeing for the first time. These are types of art I'm trying to draw most of the time!
Maybe these characters are portrayed this way in the manga, but some artists are overdoing it too much, and sometimes its too much for me. I got messages from some people saying how they prefer my art because i dont draw these characters in that 'vulgar' way, like most of the fanartists do (I like drawing curves, even bigger ones, but I really hate vulgar stuff)
Out of character means that they portrayed characters is acting in a way that in reality woudlnt, It's not only these scenarions (although most of them are being romance-related, and what I hate the most is unrealistic portraying of romance, am i too old?? XDDDD But i like good romance) there are also other things but i can't really give any examples right now

hiho! the usage of program depends on what you like. I had problems with photoshop, i didnt like it for my works, because i like painty style more. So I am using paint tool sai, and i use photoshop for adjustments, effects, and putting a watermark on it. please feel free to ask any questions if you need them, now or in the future
