I always thought Erik would make an exceptional X-man... something between Banshee's and Siryn's sonic scream , Beast's knowledge, Chamber and MastermindJust an intellectual idea. I am a HUGE fan of the X-men since I was 13... but the PotO/Erik phan thing started when I was 10.

Name: Erik (no last name)
Alias: Phantom, Fantome, Living Death
Species: Mutant
Age: Unknown (believed to have been born during WW1) Doesn't seem to have aged.
Height: 6'6"
Height: 190lbs (when wet)
Hair: None
Eyes: Yellow
Skin: Parchment yellow,
Other: Wears a mask all the time to hide his facial deformities (somehow plays part in his mutation - he has tried surgery many times to fix). Gaunt body. Fully dressed all the time - wears gloves.
Powers: Audiokinetic/Sound Manipulation/Sound negation. Sonic Blasts. Genius.
Skills: Magician, Musician, knowledge of the occult, hand to hand combat, weapons specialist, lock picking... and much more.
History: Was born somewhere in Europe... Ran away from home at an early age. Ended up working for a freak show/carnival with his new found powers. Has a criminal record for B&E, theft and arson... disappeared... resurfaced... wanted under suspicion of assassinations... (no other records of him)
Erik saved Christine (human) when she was 11 and has since raised her to be his own daughter. Now she is going to prestigious college on a musical scholarship. He has just recently joined the X-men after working countless years for The Hellfire Club.
- Just for a twist - Christine has more backbone and savvy in this world. Has feelings for her adopted father/erik has feelings for her that would considered taboo in society therefore neither act on said feelings. Personally I think it should stay that way myself... well, until it becomes more appropriate.
- There would be a friendship between Beast, Nightcrawler perhaps
- Erik knows many nasty little secrets of Emma Frost. Lots of animosity between the two. Immune to telepathic attacks.

Who sez we're sane? I think it's just one of those 'uncool and geeky' artist thing we sometimes do... sanity has nothin to really do with it. Personally I could care less what others think because there is that small group (like us) that find great amounts of amusement in this sort of thing.
I was even doing the same thing back in high school. Except Erik was prettier then. *LOL* XD

I'm thinking that this fight would be on par with "Fight of the Millenium". I'm watching the fight scene with Riddick and the Necromonger king particularly closely. Gotta get that twisty-jumpy-with-blades thing just right!

More like an Erik in the 20th century in the Marvel-verse. Dark is good.... he's lead the life of a criminal until he met an orphaned Christine and ended up raising her (or that's how I think it would be)
Tho.... I think the clothes from "Brotherhood of the Wolf" and "Brothers Grimm" I like their coats.

I love the ideas in that story--Asperger's Syndrome--it totally makes sense to me with what I have lived through (diagnosed at seventeen, misdiagnosed since I was five before that).

Emma Frost/White Queen... old member of the Hellfire Club. Telepath and diamond hard skin as a second mutation. Currently having an affair with Scott Summers (Jean is currently dead).
I even see Erik and Kurt/Nightcrawler talking about everything and anything under the sun/moon.
Your more than welcome to because this isn't really my character (Erik's history that I'd like to hold true to the original and Kay's books - but in a modern setting). I've never collaborated a story but I used to story roll play when I was much younger.
I definetly need a bio and set up his powers and limitations for him.

In this world I have been reminded by other fan authors that he would still be dealing with a lot of the psychological issues that he grew up with - touching means pain/harm and childhood traumas. It will be quite some time for him to get over that.
Erik and Remy being friends? I dunno... I see a lot of fighting and proving to each other who's better. Erik will be envious of Remy's good looks. You would also think that they must have crossed paths as theives and assassins back in France so there won't be much good will between the two - or at least Erik.
I see Erik being good friends with Storm and Beast... even Kitty. Storm because she's down to earth and cannot let her emotions get the best of her.... Beast because he is a brilliant mind and understands Erik's plight, and Shadowcat because she my remind him of Christine in some ways... (maybe - I dunno).
He'll hate Emma's guts.

I think she was created as a joint effort by the surviving daughter of one of the scientists who worked on Logan and was killed by him during his rampage after the adamantium infusion, and some secret group. I never finished reading that one
