Contest prize for ~SilverFlameWanderer for winning 3rd place on the Traditional Category on my contest.

Here is her boy, Mor-Naur meaning "Dark Flame", hence the tittle.

I spent 8+ hours on this one, more than the double of time I usually spend on a work, it was totally worth it.

I used several references for the mountains and pine trees, I'm happy with how they look. It took a lot of time to color that background and I'm finally working on the goal that I had set for my art last year: pay more attention to backgrounds. Since I hardly did any work that required a decent background last year, I didn't get to work much on them.

Ashley describes Mor-Naur as an over-sized pony, I hope this looks close enough to that description.

I know that the knee of that right front leg is placed too low, I had already colored it when I noticed, tried to fix it up a little bit but it's very noticeable.
The colors in the sky look much more well blended in person, but other than that the scanner did a very good work here.
