I always felt the original was a bit rushed"One of my favorite sets playing Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. I remember discovering the joy of evade+2 up whilst farming Ol' Silver here for Rathalos Rubies. Butterfly S with Tranq Guru Gemmed in, armed with The True Devil Slicer."

Oh silver rathalos. He hates me so much xD I use the Glacial Agnaktor set with the fully upgraded slime gunlance and just crabwalk around doing guard pokes until he explodes. It's...Not very nice to the rathalos.

That's actually the strength of the set- it takes no skill at all. Just hold the guard button and crabwalk around until you can do the guard poke when there's an opening. The glacial agnaktor set gives guard up and guard+2, so you can block unblockable attacks and not take damage from pretty much any attack in the game. That, combined with the fact that your stamina replenishes as you move or when you attack, means you can block indefinitely. Plus, the guard poke is one of the safest attacks in the game in terms of vulnerability frames (ie how long a monster has to counterattack you).

Brings back memories of me and a few friends taking down Silver for the same reason. I'd be with the Devil Slicer and we'd lay down some traps and plant a ton of bombs to blow everything off.

In my Monster Hunter 3U I have this armor, and the silver rath is a bitch to fight.
