I decided on my choice in a similar vein to pairing my avatar in Awakening. Nohr has a hot wyvern rider, I side with them.
Plus, I actually like the Wyvern Rider class a lot.

I like wyvern riders though in awakening they seemed weak to everything. Especially with so many characters using swords

I didn't have a lot of trouble with them. The axe user I had the biggest issue with was Vaike; he hardly ever seemed to get great stats in Defence or Speed. Once Cherche becomes a Wyvern Lord, she's indispensable for me... and there's the fascinating thing, everyone's experience in Fire Emblem will be different based on the RNG.
