I really hope that the future games would allow us to play as a female MC again.

definitly a great character in my opinion,i just dont see why the Persona series dont add the option for a female character more often,i dont mind just having the male character,but i dont know,i like having both options,specially for a game thats has so much replayability

They can't because they need an official version of the character to use in Spin offs, and also because they'd need two version of each anime cutscene in the game for both versions which would further complicate things.
It worked in P3P because they basically gutted everything to turn it into a visual novel for everything but the battles anyway, but they couldn't do it for anything else.
