I like how you moved his ears down and set his face wider in the final design. In the upper set of sketches, he looks like too much of a smart-aleck... something about the narrow, pointed face. The wider face makes him much more innocent.

Thank you Tsu! Yeah, I started getting that vibe the more I drew him like that, and I didn't want him turning into a smarmy kid. The newer version was MUCH easier to draw, way easier to animate, and looks more like a kid than a teenager.
