Description
Cambo SC 8X10Schneider 360 mm Super Symmar S lens
Polaroid Type 804 print
Category definitions they are doing now on this site....like my work is some sort of punch card used in computers of yesteryear...like if one work is out of place in the conventional definition of the category label the entire site will collapse. You old timers know what I am talking about......
Shot in a studio, I think her expression conveys strength and empowerment yet the her pose conveys the feeling like she has been exposed or exploited.

Beautiful portrait, extremely well done. The lighting is well done, the pose is simple yet beautiful, and the composition is classic.
It's nice to see someone else who shoots large format, and large formate polaroid for that matter. Something not seen very often, especially here on DA.

That is an absolutely incredible photo - artful without feeling erotic, wonderful balance between light and dark, it's technically perfect. And the model is wonderful as well - I love her mona lisa style grin. Keep up the great work.
Oh, and amen about the categories. This is getting out of control.

Very nice port... errr, I mean picture
WEll, Iยดm not an lod timer, but I know what you mean about the whole thing coming down, hehe.
And yes, the category system is a bit... confusing (because I find "restrictive" to be a bit harsh most of the time ), mostly because if a take a macro shot of a flower, where does it fall into, "nature" or "macro" (to name but two of the categories iot would fit)?

Yes, unless the shot is planned and posed and in a studio with professional lighting you must not submit your photo into the "Photography>ortraits" category.
Thanks for your work, just had to comment on the categorization thing, its been bugging me lately.

So, get her to put her arms down and let's expose and exploit her already!

I see confidence with possibly some reservations - like she isn't afraid of life and is amused at what she sees.
Wonderful lighting and composition. It is cropped just a little too tight on top for me, but that is a minor thing. It's a lovely non-portrait
