Current personality:
Pearl is quiet and meek, She does as she is told without question or hesitation. Even if that order involves something she is afraid of such as water or ice. She doesn't do this out of insane loyalty but rather out of fear of possibly being shattered. She flinches away ever so slightly when gems of a larger stature then her that she in unfamiliar with address her. She rarely gets angry because anytime the feeling boils up in her it is quickly replaced by fear for the consequences of what actions her anger could produce. Pearl often internalizes this fear and will seemingly go mindless for periods of time while she attempts to mentally subdue her emotions. She doesn't enjoy the activities of her work, but she is happy to do it as long as it keeps her alive. Though Most gems don't know these things and just see her as a weak willed pearl with a habit of daydreaming.

Important History:
Pearl was made to order many thousands of years ago. She and three other pearls emerged from the soil of a distant gem colony within moments of each other, But their fates would be far from similar. Two of her kinder mates would travel to a noble Sapphire on a far away moon base, and Pearl and another would stay on their gemination planet to serve a mighty Fire agate. It was in these years that Pearl and her Kinder mate who stayed behind grew close. They worked together and played together. They became inseparable when Fire Agate was not around. Glued to each others hips. For who could understand a pearl better then a pearl. Thousands of years had past and Pearls friend grew restless of Fire Agate's constant demands. She began to slip, speaking back now and again, Dropping items Fire Agate had requested brought to her. Pearl could see the tension building, and then one day it came to a boil. Fire Agate approached a door and Pearl was snickering with her friend walking behind Fire Agate. She was lost in the moment enjoying her friend and walked into Fire Agate's back jostling her. Fire Agate was not amused. She grabbed pearl by the arm and summoned her Whip from her gem intent on punishing her. When the unthinkable happened, pearls friend summoned a weapon and stepped between the two gems pointing the blade at her Agate's chest. Fire Agate threw Pearl aside and as she hit the wall and slide down to the floor she watched in disbelief as her friend's form was poofed in a swift movement and then crushed beneath Fire Agate's foot. It took mere Seconds for pearl to regain her footing and then she did what she thought she would never, could never do. She pulled a Weapon out of her Gem for the first time, A Strong Mallet, and with all her might she attacked Fire Agate.

When the smoke had cleared and Fire Agate lay unscathed, Pearl turned her beaten glance to her Friends shards and she wept. Thousands of year of companionship and Friendship gone in a moment, and soon Pearl would join her friend in shards. She closed her eyes and then everything went black.

When Pearl next reformed she was inside of a roaming eyes cell, in space where she had never been. She glanced around her cell room and crawled to the wall where a pad told her of her futures fate. Transfer immediately to Clinohumite, if unneeded harvest for power. Pearl wrapped her arms around herself and Wept. She cried and cried until she could cry no more, and then when she could regain control of herself she began preparing for her possible need to escape.

Well Zodiac. Looks like you get to tell me the ending to this Story.

side note- I struggled a lot with the decision to give this pearl ears, because I always assumed Gems didn't have any. But after some digging and research Amethyst is shown with ears on multiple occasions notable the beach episode and the episode dedicated to her reforming. So I decided it was ok for ma Pearl to have ears. Ok. Anywho.
