Yes! By the 3rd act I was amazed at merrill; even though Anders acted like a jerk to her and Fenris made no secret of his disapproval of her, she still cared about them, advocating in their defense... made me think she was so used to all the hate, it didn't even get to her anymore. and that's kind of sad

I was ALMOST thinking the game did a good move in character evolution...
When the Keeper died and we were walking by the hating dalish, Anders said something like "See what you did ? Now you can begin to make up for all your mistakes and begin to do something good". I was like WOW ! Anders evolved ! Cool !...
And then for his quest he stopped by and bitched at me like "YOU SURE YOU WANNA DATE MERRILL ? SHE'S EVUL !!"

That is saying how much I hated being trapped in that fuckin' kirkwall.

Maybe because they were the only places with unique maps?
I don't mind coming back again and again to the Wounded Coast or the Bone pit, but I found quite ridiculous to enter a random house and find ALL of them had the same layout, or that a random cave in a random place was exactly the same map than a completely different placed other... Sigh!
