Prelim sketches for the next (and one of the last !) fancomic.It'll be pre-ME1 and will show two important themes I feel I didn't explore enough : the building of their friendship/trust, and pure raw badassery.
Never enough badassery.

Heh, this reminds me of the first time I've played Mass Effect 1.
Great game, one of the best I've played, I thought back then. But, now that I look back, ME1 was flowers, fluffiness and bunnies compared to ME3.
It was a perfect introduction to a good story, but it was fairly light-hearted.

I think the "darkness" brought in ME3 looks faker than the pink armors of ME1. I liked the kitsch/startrekish look of the game, and I never thought it was removing any threatening aspect of the villains, nor the epic confrontations or the danger feeling.
I like how they were fully assuming their plastic look, it felt like a genuine hommage to old sci-fi, and less like a shameless alignment on the "dirty" look of contemporary games like Gears of War or Killzone. I feel it was more original and ballsy.
Maybe it's just my nostalgia, but this game is my favourite of the series for these reasons - and many others.
