Description
Here is my entry to the EVE online contest, unfortunately i don't have a graphics tablet to make a clearer/better design on. Based on LOKI league ships, this is Miranda, Hurricane classed as its length is ~ 500m.You can see that most of the sketches were done on 3 A4 sheets stuck together (yes I'm THAT cheap) BUT what makes me different from the rest of the entries is that I actually have a LEGO version of the ship, for the purpose of seeing the ship through how I originally viewed it (save the bad colour choice of bricks and my VERY bad drawing abilities).
Miranda, Hurricane class Starship Specs:
Length ~500m
Height ~50m
Width (wing to wing) ~ 200m
Also, the views are as follows (from top left clockwise):
Below, Above, Starboard, Port, Aft, Bow.
WISH ME LUCK

Nice work on this one. I was a Lego addict when I was young. I would draw a ship and then try to build it. Now I have adult Legos - "Lightwave". It is all the same.

Thats the thing, i would have loved to make something, ANYTHING using lighwave, but i can never get the hang of rendering or computer software which involves design, i had a challenge using photoshop to even crop all the images above into one big jpeg ): (and i am thinking that you are talking about the rendering software "lightwave"?)

Ya, that is the software. I will be honest, I am self taught, no easy road. Took me 5 years just to get to Bevel. Photoshop I learned after that when I started wanting to do layered textures. Really it just takes time and patience. And a lot of beating one's head on the desk. - oh and some foul language.

I might have a go on it actually, I've always wanted to learn some sort of software rendering and such, question is, do I need a tablet for it?

Nope, no tablet is required. I have never had one so that should answer that question.
