This exactly captures the slightly silly nature of some creepypastas, the ones that are like "I brought a game froma creepy man and caught an evil pokemon that cried blood and my Trainer's bodyparts vanished one by one and my party was all eaten alive with screaming and so was everyone else and I tryed to turn off my Gameboy but wouldn't stay off and now there's an evil Pokemon at my door and now it ripped my throat out and I'm dead."

The most iconographic and recognizable stage of Gold from Lost Silver is the pale and limbless one. it's quickly and easily recognizable, and helps keep the asymmetrical balance of this particular image. Since this was merely a gag poking fun at Creepypasta, accuracy was not as important as the initial realization of the joke.
