That wouldn't be right. His entire outlook is that being the second best makes you not good enough. He can't be not the best anywhere. Being better somewhere else won't make anything any better.

this is good, I can only imagine what it must be for Bianca. Being told she can't do anything without failing. Trying to prove them wrong but does in fact continue to fail...
So behind her smile is the pain of thinking that her father maybe right about her inability to improve any more than she is now.

but overall, she goes back to her hometown, she didn't travel very far, I don't recall her getting any badges or attempting to fight the Elite Four like Cheren. You only fight with her a couple of times and you see her mostly guiding you to someone in trouble.
Even as she stays with the professor, in her mind the idea that she didn't achieve much is there especially combined to White who had her mother's support from the start.

Honestly I find Bianca's story tragic. I look at it objectively and I love it.
But then I look at her and I... I just can't like her.

same here... i'm not a fan of her either but her story is rare to see in pokemon games like hearing directly that a pokemon had died.

that's true in the games and cartoon but the manga is definitely for an older demographic. that -aside from reading pastas- was the first time I saw pokemon died as while as being killed, seeing the actually cruelty done to pokemon and then have the main characters in danger of dying as while.

that's right... but they always said 'at rest' or 'resting' so I guess it went over my head as a kid when I was playing it.
But only the recent ones and in DPP games, you have Alder talking his pokemon getting sick and dying and the story about the guy that killed pokemon for sport. and the movies...
So I never noticed it until recent years.

Mew can learn every move known to pokemon
Arceus can be any type known to pokemon...
They had Arceus as god which leads to Palkia and Dialga which are suppose to maintain balance between time and space which leads to Mesprite, Uxie and Azelf which have their own legends but create the red chain to control those two. Giratina's realm is basically the negative realm of time and space the distorted world. Darkrai and Cresslia control your dreams and sleep. Manaphy and Phione had water. Shaymin had Earth element of the Sky and Heatran had Fire, Steel and Earth.
It seemed that Sinnoh had everything that was anything there.

Honestly Mew and Arceus turns into Evolution vs Creationism. All pokemon supposedly come from mew, but at the same time, Arceus supposedly created all pokemon. It's pokereligion, it's a big thing on the internet.

Yea, I'm pretty sure they imagine the throngs of parents yelling and complaining about religion in a video game.
Some already think pokemon are demons and monsters, you would think a little spirituality would soften them.

I feel the frustration that he's feeling, and knowing that even though, through out the game, you were the hero the whole time. He didn't even know he was working for nothing. I guess Cheren's real desire was to protect his best friend til the end. Even if it resulted in his failure. I admire his will to keep trying.

Anyways, I honestly feel for this boy.
This game was interesting in many ways. It was a shocker to realize that YOU were the villian, while you crushed N and Cheren's dreams. In the end, it's ironic how the only the only people who succeeded were you and Bianca, the failure.
