I picture Zarbon and Bulma's relationship being based mostly off loneliness and physical attraction.

From what I've seen in the series, Bulma seems to have trouble with filtering what she says. She blurts out whatever is on her mind without considering that it might hurt the other person's feelings.

Due to her reaction to his transformation on Namek, I can see a scenario where Zarbon mentions how much he hates his other form and Bulma agrees by mentioning how hideous and terrifying it was to witness (amongst other negative adjectives). Since he is already pretty self conscious about it, I don't think Zarbon would appreciate her agreeing with him and they would end up in a bitter argument. I also think that his other form closely resembles what his ancestors looked like and find it interesting. With those neck and jaw muscles just imagine how strong his bite must be.

After years apart, I think they would be ready to start anew. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I finally typed out what Tanga's relationships are like if you are interested and I might elaborate on it more later.

A spider mouse looks like a mix between a tarantula and a chipmunk and they can fit in the palm of your hand. I plan to draw a spider mouse at some point alongside other domesticated animals on Zarbon's home world.

Thank you, I'm glad you like her.

Unfortunately, Bulma still gets together with Vegeta in this scenario but she still has an amicable relationship with Zarbon and neither regret the short time they had together.
