Byrn flinches a little when Celeste mentions his dead loved one. But she obviously hadn't said it to be mean or anything so he decides to let it go. She looks up at him in concern, her head tucked neatly under his. She's willing to move if he doesn't want her there!

"Yes, sorry. She would have wanted me to move on...to be happy. And you do make me happy Celeste. More than anything!" Byrn closes his eyes in bliss, tightening their neck hug. This reassures both of them, and they sigh in contentment at the same time.

He's much to scared to say the 'love' word yet, but she understands. Love can be quietly shown instead.

"Hey, no fair dad! You said that I wasn't allowed to hug anyone like that. How come you get to?!" An annoyed young voice shatters their sweet moment.

Byrn reluctantly breaks the hug to look down at his peppy daughter. "Froggie , I said you couldn't hold any colt like that. Everyone else is okay."

Froggie snorts and stamps a little hoof. "Well I say you can't hold any mare like that! Mom would have been sad about it."

This makes Byrn pause. Celeste has just agreed to be his new mate and technically Froggie's step-mother. How should he tell the child? Should he wait a few days before breaking the news to her? He looks over at Celeste and decides to just plunge through it. He clears his throat awkwardly.

"You see Froggie...there's something we need to tell you..."
