Personality:
At a first glance Marcus looks like an emo, borderline scary guy. However the truth is very far from the expected; Marcus is a hardcore hippie horse! From the way he walks (a lazy unhurried amble) to the way he talks (everything's radical man) and even the way he grooms himself (flower power all the way) reflects peace and love. He'll often be found lazily splashing in the river, prancing around a meadow with flowers in his hair, or relaxing in the sun telling folktales to foals/anyone who will listen. Marcus hates violence with a passion and does his best to act as mediator between disputers in the most calm way possible. His relaxed aura is fantastic at soothing most frazzled nerves!
When it comes to social interactions he does come off as a bit odd. He's not at all a flirty fellow but is willing to randomly walk over to someone and start cleaning off their coat. Since he believes that everyone deserves to be loved he's willing to have many 'mates'. Those he considers partners aren't really mates at all...they're just horses he pays extra attention/affection to. He doesn't have a romantic bone in his body and does not have the urge to breed; all he likes to do is cuddle. Cuddle and hang out. Mares, stallions, those in-between...he doesn't care! He craves to emotionally support all of them and share all that love in his big heart. As long as they don't mind only cuddles that is.
It's impossible to make Marcus upset or angry, but he does get ruffled when horses hold grudges against each other. Drives him completely nuts and he'll spend many sleepless nights trying to formulate a way to make it better. He obviously adores plants and often stumbles upon useful herb patches just because. Mother Earth is kind to him and in return he tries to be kind to all the world's creatures. This is especially apparent in how he helps his step-sister raise her foal. He longed for a safe place for her to be safe and is happy to have found it.
