Personality:

Mayzie is an incredibly decent healer. However, her true passion is for poisonous/toxic plants and berries. She merely tolerates her healer duties as an excuse to locate both helpful and harmful plants. Other healers are very useful to learn about toxic plants from; everyone must know which plants are or are not safe for consumption. She takes this knowledge to discover new dangers.

When done for the day she'll often rush off to test the potency of each toxin. To do so she usually baits really stupid squirrels and chipmunks; ones dumb enough to eat the poison disguised as something edible. For now she's too scared to try it on anything bigger than a rodent.

Not only does she test poison levels in plants, she also studies them with rapt interest. She makes a note as to which animals can eat them and be unharmed. She figures out where each plant likes to grow, hoping to one day have her own secret toxic garden. Her intentions are to benefit the herd in the long run. To wipe out the pesky nearby threats, she wants to simply sicken them to death instead of fighting physically.

Some may call her techniques cruel and mindless. She calls it science. When not testing poisons/finding poisons, she is sort of fun to hang around. If you can stand her morbid personality and obsession with death anyway. This obsession did not stem from any sort of trauma of any kind. She's just a little...twisted.
