I write research logs about dreams, siblings and twin genetics inside a journal of mine every time I get bored.

It's a blessing and a curse. I'd take creativity over sleep any day, which explains why I've had so much good sleep.

Yup, all the time! It seems to happen more though when I'm at work, and then I can't really do anything about it, and by the time I get home I either forget or just too tired to do anything. 
I can so imagine her doing this! Or keeping some sort of dream journal! GO Twilight! It's characters like Twilight Sparkle and Sam Winchester (from Supernatural) that make us "Eggheads" 20% cooler!

A fun little trick to remember things is word association. Think of a simple word when you come up with an idea and repeat it a few times, helps later when you want to try and remember something.
I for one have a terrible memory, so it helps now and again.
