Description
The last class for the day was P.E., and the coach had sent the girl to put away the sport equipment in the sports supply shed.

Although this was pretty much routine for the week, the girl noticed that there was something new in the small building today; an electric air pump for inflating the sports balls.

After placing the used equipment in the back, the girl once again looked at the new pump. She twirled one of the soccer balls in her hands. It was by no means flat, but it could have used some more air, the girl mused.

Placing the hose of the air pump onto the nozzle of the ball, she pressed the on switch. A large WOOOSH of air was heard, and the ball was suddenly fully inflated in less than a second! By the time she hit the switch to “Off”, the ball was a bit larger than a normal soccer ball. It might have been even considered a beach ball, at its size.

Tentatively the girl gave the ball a squeeze. Even though it was partly over-inflated, it was still kind of squishy.

“Hmm... I wonder, just how big can it get?” wondered the girl, giving it a hug.

The girl checked outside to see if anyone else was around. She seemed to be the only one left at the school right now, or at least in the gym area at any rate. With a devious smile she closed the shed door, and locked it from the inside so as to not be disturbed.

After taking off her shoes, she hooked up the air pump’s hose once again. Switching the pump on once more, the girl sat upon the sports ball, and let it grow underneath herself, feeling it getting bigger, and a little firmer as well.

She could hear stitches snapping, and rubber creaking, as the soccer ball became larger than most of the other balls in the shed. As she bounced on top of it, the girl became conflicted with wanting to see it grow even more, and wanting to see it finally reach its limit.

Of course, both would come to pass, as the inevitable eventually happened...

KA-BOOM!!!

The girl fell to her knees giggling, as the ball exploded and flew out from underneath her, letting the still running air pump spray her with its jet of warm air. As she finally turned off the pump, she looked longingly at the other inflatable sports equipment in the shed, particularly the large flex-balls, and the air mattress used as a cushion for high-jump practice. But she knew better than to push her luck further with the school’s property, at least for now.

Tossing the busted soccer ball into a trash can, she pocketed one of the hexagon pieces as a ‘souvenir’, before leaving. As she went to the lockers to get changed, all she could think about was the air pump, and all the other inflatable things in the shed.

Later the coach would notice that one of the soccer balls was missing, but would never suspect as to why.

Something different this time instead of balloons and beachballs.
