this oc's backstory is a WIP.

ok so if you aren't familiar with the original Will-O-Wisp folklore:

"In folklore a will-o'-wisp is a ghostly atmospheric light seen by travellers at night, especially over bogs, swamps or marshes. It is said to mislead travellers by resembling a flickering lamp or lantern. In literature, will-o'-the-wisp metaphorically refers to a hope or goal that leads one on, but is impossible to reach, or something one finds strange or sinister."

Name: Willow Wisp
alias: Will-O-Wisp

personality: giddy and bubbly with an almost sinister undertone. Yet somehow she has an allure about her that makes her charming and charismatic. She is playful and witty too. she likes to play innocent.

origin: Willow Wisp is a magic using being living in the land of Ooo. She is somewhat known amongst magic users as being bad and untrustworthy and double-crossing those who she teams up with. her goals aren't exactly known, she doesn't seem to have an end game except for causing mischief just for the sake of mischief. She has existed since at least the middle ages, possibly longer as she claims her earliest memory was a little over 2,000 years ago. She can transform from a humanoid woman with black hair and blue skin to a firey blue ghost creature at her desire. She has a number of other minor magical abilities.

story: She appears in a story idea I had about Simon and his quest to see Betty again as the Will-O-Wisps are associated with seemingly impossible goals. He meets her through Finn and an elderly Jake who befriend her in the woods, unaware of her true borderline evil nature. Despite being warned by huntress wizard not to talk to her, Finn does anyways as she resembles Flame Princess in her Wisp form and he becomes enamoured with her. Finn introduces her later to his other friends, Marceline, Bonnie and Simon. Simon seems depressed and melancholy the whole time, and she can smell an opportunity to take advantage of somebody the way a cat can smell catnip. This leads to her taking Finn, Jake and Simon on a completely pointless quest to see prismo. She knows Prismo can't do anything, but considered this a good opportunity to mess with people's heads. I am also considering giving her some kind of relationship (romantic or platonic friendship) to Hunson Abadeer, Marcy's dad.
