The comic was inspired by a clip from Simpsons I saw a while ago (it was about their heads and hair, though).
Edit 02/05/2013: Also, no one could tell me for sure if ponies have fur or hair on their body (different sources = different answers), so I added a little joke about that
Everything drawn by me in Art Rage Studio Pro 3 with a tablet. I used Ink Pen and Felt Pen tools. Lettering was done in Inkscape.

Fur is a form of hair. Even humans can grow fur to a certain extent yet we always call it hair i.e.: leg hair and stuff. Facial hair is the same as the stuff on our heads though.
