Description
EDIT 02/05/2013: Remade from scratch, now drawn in ArtRage with a slightly changed scriptKorean translation: [link]
Russian translation: [link]
Pinkie logic and Fluttershy being Fluttershy.
The comic was inspired by a clip from Simpsons I saw a while ago (it was about their heads and hair, though).
Edit 02/05/2013: Also, no one could tell me for sure if ponies have fur or hair on their body (different sources = different answers), so I added a little joke about that
Everything drawn by me in Art Rage Studio Pro 3 with a tablet. I used Ink Pen and Felt Pen tools. Lettering was done in Inkscape.

MLP, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy belong to Hasbro. Art by me.
If you repost it, please link back here (but you can't post it on DeviantArt!) | And watch me if you haven't done it yet. And if that's okay with you.

There's usually a coronet on an equine where the hoof grows out from the body. The border in which the artist is talking about is where the fur stops at the coronet band; which in turn is where the hoof starts.

Basically, no dividing line between the hair and the hoof. If you look at a real life horse, you can tell where the hair ends and the hoof is exposed.

This reminds me of that Simsons episode where Bart and Lisa were freaking out because they couldn't find their hair line border.

Simply put, their fetlocks are covering their hooves.

You can't see where the fur stops being fur and becomes a hoof.

And even then, only certain stallions seem to trim their fetlocks. Notable examples of trimmed fetlocks: Big Macintosh and Prince Blueblood
Notable examples of untrimmed fetlocks: Mr. Cake, Flim and Flam, etc.

Those are a certain kind of horse called a Clydesdale, they have very shaggy fur/hair on their legs that lead down to their hooves. See - [link]

Lol, you don't have to tell me. I lived on a ranch for the first seven years of my life, so I know a lot about horses. It didn't really come to mind, thats all. The fur above a horse's hooves is it's fetlocks.

A lot of people don't actually know that, so it's good to see somebody who knows what I'm talking about. I don't know nearly as much about horses as my sister, though.
