So here is a picture with two OC changelings for koobikitsune who is one of my Patreon supporters. On the left is Dopple - koobikitsune's OC and on the right is my OC and avatar - Berzie. Two buddies have a dinner and talk about 'manly' stuff.As was shown in official IDW comics (issue #3) - changelings ended up in a Lovey Dovey land they conquered and used their denizens as their source of food - to those unfamiliar with comics - you can find a preview of that issue somewhere - on first pages you can see panels with changelings devouring their 'love' leaving them in vegetative state... and that's what happens in the picture. Also, they are not 'kittens' as Andy Price once said.

Now that's why Berzie wears a construction helmet.
He got his head smacked so many times that it got very sensitive.

That event actually happened in the first IDW comic!
2 changelings capture Derpy in their goo and one of them takes Derpy's form. After changing into Derpy, the other changeling looks him over, notices the eyes are straight, and smacks the changeling-Derpy to make them, well, derpy! (This was all witnessed by the Mane 6 in the comic.)

The critters on their plates in the picture and all the goo are references to those comics too, the author even says so.

They aren't dead, they are placed into a vegetative state of being. Completely different.

If we take in account what is said in the game "Pinkamena"
That's when a drone kill :
"... Has been found dead. She has been drained of her love, leaving a dessicated body. ... was the ..."
And that's when the queen kill :
"... Has been found dead. She has been drained of her love and partially devoured. ... was the ..."
So, if we consider this game as canon, the changeling drones just drain the love, while the queen also eat the corpse!
So, don't worry, those cats are alive, and will not get devoured!
Also, what better way to get love than with kitties? ^^
