Nadia woke up at 5 am, the rising morning had a breezy air, sign that the summer was slowly turning into autumn. She had a quite usual morning, she had a remarkable breakfast and then she headed to the pastures to take care of the horses with Nala in tow.
Both Bergamotto and Brownie greeted her with joy, the girl gave the horses a few yummy treats and then headed to do the barn chores.
She decided to not ridden the horsesin the morning but in the late afternoon when it was less warm and when she was done with the work at the stable, that day she also hade to ride Otto a little bit because Anthony couldn't, she was really happy and excited to try the stallion!

In the afternoon Nadia tacked up Otto and headed to the indoor arena, she prepared some exercises with poles, cavalletti and few higher jumps; everything went really good, Otto was calm, relaxed and behaved well to her instructions; when jumping he was a real bomb and Nadia understood why Anthony loved riding Otto! Then they had a little walk around the surrounding of the stable, Nadia showred and then feeded him, for that day Otto was settled.

Finally it was time to ride her mare Brownie, the girl fully tacked up the horse and headed again to the indoor arena. Brownie was really energetic that afternoon and showed a lot of willing to work, the pair did the poles and some cavalletti jumps, but Nadia noticed that the mare was too energetic so she also jumped a few obstacles with the same height when she jumped with Otto, without even thinking about it. Brownie galopped, and conquered a few jumps without hesitation, but then they took a risky distance and Nadia lose a stirrup and balance, the mare kicked the front legs at mid air and they hit the higher pole, unfortunatelly Brownie completely lose her balance so did Nadia and they both fell ruinously on the ground.

Nadia stood up without fatigue or pain, but the mare seemed injuried...she got up but showed some issues with a front leg.
Nadia's eyes filled with tears and her heart started beating fast, she went close to her mare, her precious Brownie and checked her out, but she wasn't sure so she called her veterinary...

poor babies, we all have bad days unfortunatelly
I think this drawing is a projection of one of my fears: falling from horses badly.
I hope to never experience such a thing.
