i think one of my resolutions for 2019 was to post more often and i kinda dropped the ball there. oops! no better time than the present i guess.
here’s some concept sketches for the mothman and owlman for my cryptid caper project. i decided to adjust their roles in the story so i gotta tweak their designs to fit

idk about the real life counterparts (personally my suspicion is that the mothman was a misidentified or undocumented owl; probably the owlman too but i know less about it) but in the story i'm developing they're "cousins": either the same species that just have a lot of diversity between individuals or related species that look similar to each other.
