Description August 2011

A special custom posed sphinx that I made for Ayaka on ponyisland.net

She was a special present for lots of un-intentional bribes that Ayaka had been sending me (special/random gifted adoptables, and even mailed me a box of lovely bath supplies. ^_^ )

I think that she turned out beautifully! I had to show her off here.

Oh my gosh! She's stunning.. woooow I always found Sphinxes to be amazing but this one is just ... I have no words I just can't get over how gorgeous she is! XD I love all the details on the head, the face, the eyes, the dress... everything is just perfect! And I really like the color of the dress too! Usually not too fond of green, but this one looks great on her.

Thanks. ^_^ Like all of the sphinxes adoptables the clothing was saved in a different layer, so her body is fully coloured/shaded under there as well (just in case there is ever a costume change).

I don't really know my Chinese dynasties very well (I've read more on the Japanese eras), but I do so love dresses like this. ^_^

ahh okay ,and I'm not that certain either the dress might be earlier or later ..but it is old before the 1000s CE at least the styling .. Hmm Ohh

I was so happy when Ayaka showed me the type of dress she wanted on her sphinx - I love drawing dresses like that. (Time-consuming, but so so beautiful.)

I really do like how her eyes turned out, they just pop with the complimentary dress colours.
