Let it flow through your mind....This is my first ever try at a photo manip so its a little rough, I didnt nearly do the picture justice. pretty basic manips with a few classic 2d elements. I dunno what it is with me and blue though, the first thing I did here was add a blue color overlay.

I can realte to that. Sometimes it is the carefully layed out and planned painting, but sometimes it is the stock photo or magazine shot that moves you. Was the same with that "hairy" submission I posted last week. I saw the pic and knew I had to try and use it. In both cases I think the strong emotional connection to the subject shows.

Yeah some art is funny that way, but I guess thats what makes us artists, being able to spot future art.

Well that is a vote of confidence... I never thought about it that way. I rather felt guilty deriving most of the artistic value of a piece from someone elses pieces.

Well I guess you could call it more insperation, I mean we all have different outlooks when it comes too a peice, so I guess what we see when we see the medium is unique in its own way. Id still have to say that a peice takes tallent and I would still give most of the credit to the artist if I thought it was due, you never know what the stock was before and what it could have been had it gotten into other hands. *is rambling again

YOu're right in my case the stockphoto gained a very sexy backside... I really would like to see what happend is several artists agreed to work with one specific stockshot and then compared results. That would be most amazing, I think.

this looks soooo awesome!!...you gave me a futuristic tribal look, which is really cool...I'm loving the bright blue hues and the twinkle light effect around the eyes...honestly, this is really good, especially for your first manipulation...
