I was thinking about making this into a Pre-made keychain for sale...I kinda actually like how this turned out
I need suggestions on keychains to make, like anime/game characters ^-^
I need alot more practise on chibis, but I think I'm getting alittle better
I was going to do more vocaloids but uh, I dunno. It's whatever the public likes more I guess that I'll do

I know Wikipedia isn't the best backing website, but it's the only thing I could find, and frankly I don't really care to research further. It doesn't really say much about profiting from fanart though. I just HEARD someone say that, I don't even know where from, but after I bought stuff at Anime Expo. I remember because I felt guilty before realizing that no one cares. I'm not an expert on copyright laws, obviously, but it seems pretty much like common sense to me that profiting from a character that is, well, not your own, should be illegal, if it isn't. But it shouldn't stop you, no one gives a crap. Which is why lawyers don't burst in at Anime conventions and shout "OBJECTION!", that is to say if I'm NOT misinformed.

I remember reading up on how profit from characters that aren't your own are illegal, but it slipped my mind when I got involved with conventions.
I know the convention over here doesn't allow you to have a certain amount sold, but that's weird how conventions allow it. Hm, I'ma look into it, I completely forgot about fanart-illegal stuff |D

I'm sorry... I reacted rudely than... I'm just REALLY used to (having been lurking in the complaints forum too long) seeing that face applied when someone's being a total noob/retard, and now it's like the highest form of DA insult to me XD;;
But yeah, I'm confused about those laws as well... but I might want to look into them before you sell. (like, er, you said you would XD)
But even so, I wouldn't let it bother you too much on a legal level, its the moral level you have to worry about. But if your good with it there go on

And uh, it is illegal but because we're small artists the companies don't really mind. Plus it's also publicity for them as well. I just can't make a big company that might interfer with their busisness which I'm not doing |D
If I had a show/game/company, quite honestly I wouldn't mind people getting money off of it. It's hard to sell original characters, fanart gets you recognized then people notice your OCs.
