Description
Round 3:Takeda and Hamamoto approached eachother for the third time, both determined to get the upper hand over the other now that the scores were level; the next point could decide the match.
Takeda knew that she couldn't rely on her previous strategy anymore, and that her opponent's defence was too strong for her to break through, she'd have to switch things up.
Hamamoto had levelled out the playing field, but knew that at the end of the day, Takeda could land punches a lot harder than she could; even if her guard was able to protect her from most of her attacks, so long as a few got through, it would start taking it's toll eventually. The two began trading blows against eachother, Hamamoto relied on her defence again, protecting herself from most of Takeda's attacks; the blows that managed to slip through shook her frame to the core. She was able to land counter-punches against her opponent, landing some hits of her own.
As the match wore on, both fighters accumulated more and more injuries, each one trying to force the other to hit the canvas before they did.
Unfortunately for Takeda, Hamamoto was at an advantage, she wasn't the only who wore herself out in the last round; she eventually took one counter too many, and a vicious right hook caught her off guard. She twisted on the spot following the momentum of the punch, spittle flying through the air as she collapsed onto her side.
She got up by the count of 5, but cursed herself under her breath as she stood back up; that fall may have cost her the match, her only hope was to score a knockdown in the next round, or she'd lose on points.
Result of round 3 - Hamamoto wins
Round 4:
The fourth round began, and Hamamoto knew that Takeda would be trying hard to knock her down, her best bet was to hold her guard and outlast her.
She guessed correctly, Takeda came in raining down blow after her blow, making her arms sting painfully from each punch she blocked, feeling the sheer force behind them. She was forced to back up, only for Takeda to advance, keeping the gap between them closed at all times. She managed to slip several hooks through Hamamoto's guard, digging into her ribs. She last out a loud gasp from each blow and had to strain to stop herself from doubling over; she was hitting a lot harder now than from the previous wins, Takeda was on a mission to get this win.
She did the only thing she could do, fire some counters to keep her at bay. The tactic worked, peppering her with a few sharp jabs and using the window where she recoiled to back away. The rest of the fourth round consisted on Takeda pulling out all the stocks to get her opponent on the canvas, and Hamamoto doing everything she could to block or out-maneuver her, lasting as long as she possibly could.Β
Eventually, the bell sounded the end of the match and both fighters were sent back to their corners; nobody had been knocked down, and tit was up to the judges to decide who had won the final round.
The referee summoned both fighters back to the centre of the ring and held their arms, ready to announce the winner. The stadium waited with baited breath, itching to see who's arm would be raised in victory, the final decision of the judges being kept a secret from them.
The referee raised Hamamoto's arm in the air, the stadium erupting into cheers and jeers from their respective fans.
Result of round 4 - Draw
Takeda let out a defeated sigh, looking disappointed with her loss. Hamamoto noticed this and went over to her, embracing her in a firm hug
"Thanks for a good fight, you're tough" She said. Takeda seemed to perk up a little bit, hugging her back
"Thanks...same to you"

Ryoko Hamamoto: *Ryoko sees the autographs, then at the person giving them to her, and writes her name on it, but not before hiding the tiny blush forming on her cheeks*
