My 2nd Vaporwave aesthetic inspired art piece

Final thoughts:
Yes, it seems to be that I'm obsessed with marble statues and checkerboard motifs.

With this project I approached landscapes with the idea that they should give off a very surreal vibe so I choose (like the Imaginary Landscape #1)
to portray the scene in the look of a diorama. This idea sorta came from I Spy Books which gives off this really strange vibe and resembles a constructed diorama of some sort. Some cool details I thought were pretty neat in this project are that the "main" subjects in the back are actually image files being opened up like they would when you click on them on a computer. The twist is that these images are acting like solid objects in the scene. Another part of this project I enjoyed making was the sky on the left of the artwork. If you look at the bottom left you to see that the sky is an illusion and it was a curtain all along. The sky being sideways and image files acting as solid objects help solidify the surreal atmosphere of this art piece. I think the use of almost muted pastel-like colors gives a dreamy and hazy look that helps reinforce the surrealism aspect.

I definitely think my shading and texture skills with color pencils are improving and I have some big plans for future projects!
