The background kind of looks like farmer's fields because it's kind of inspired by areas near me. The background, for some unexplained reason, became a little personal to me. LOL :U Hope you don't mind x)

I love the subdued colours and sense of peace... The blending on the sky is beautiful, as is the deer's head - you've really got the anatomy of it down! The only thing I'd say is that a reference image for the body might have helped you to get the shapes better. You'd be amazed how much difference it makes! Other than that - gorgeous. I can really tell the background is special to - the mood just emanates from it. Great work, keep it up ^ ^ I can't wait to see what you do as you improve!

This is beautiful. In every every way ever. This background is incredible, and I am so happy that it is personal to you. EVERYONE PUTS A LITTLE BIT OF THEMSELVES INTO PICTURES. AND SURPRISINGLY ENOUGH, the fields look similar here too. Just minus the million thousand hedges.
WHAT AM I SAYING. OF COURSE GRASS LOOKS THE SAME. But really. You paint backgrounds so well, and I lovelovelove the washed out pastel colours; MY FAVOURITE KIND.
YOU PAINT BEAUTIFULLY AND I AM JELLY OF YOUR SKILLS. But more to the point.
