Description
My work flow on a cover from start to finish.Helpfully this will give someone some insight or something. I know I, personally, struggle when I draw and learning to add color to the mix is like threading a needle with a tractor - it gonna get messy. Haha.
1) Sketch sent for approval.
2) Sketch based on the Sketch. Haha.
3) Tightening up the sketch.
4) Spotting the blacks.
5) Laying down Values.
6) Added colors - all done! Yay!
The finished can be seen here: [link]

Awesome!! My question may sound stupid but, is it all digital or made with pencils and ink in stage #2,#3 and maybe 4?

Hi! #2 and #3 are indeed, digital. The whole process is all digital actually. If I wanted to do some pen and ink, I'd do it in stage #1-#4 though.
The advantage to doing parts of it in pen and ink is to get a more organic feel to the aart. Going all digital, you tend to lose of the life you'd get out of pen and ink and the reason i still work in pen and ink for my comic pages.

I think the best way to get your manga published is to do a webcomic first. Do it for real, update often and aquire a readership base. Then you take this comic with a built in readership base to any publisher (that does manga) and sell them the publishing rights. Any publisher worth a damn won't say no to a property with built in readership. You can also re-release the webcomic episodes as a book to double dip on your profits a bit.
The other benefit of doing awebcomic is the ability to hone your craft and work out kinks in your art as well as get IMMEDIATE feedback to your art. You can also see if your idea for the manga will actually take off or flop. It's a lot of hard work but really, anything worth having is worth working hard for.

To be honest, I have no idea where you can post a webcomic. I have a personal site that I would post webcomics on but I'm not sure what your financial situation is or preferences. I'd say do a Google search and see where it takes you. Good luck!

Hey Tony- Yes, I'll post the colors as soon as I get the ok to do so.
Oh, a HUGE thanks to Mark H. Roberts [link] for his color help. He really gave some solid advice that helped me get the colors where I needed them.
Thanks Mark!
